Heart failure is an important condition in primary care and carries a poor prognosis, worse than most cancers. This session focuses on how early identification and optimal management can significantly improve outcomes. A collaborative approach between primary and secondary care, including heart failure nurses, can facilitate this. The session will include relevant aspects of echo report interpretation and clarifying which patients should be referred for assessment of device therapy.
