Satellite symposium 3 – What’s new in Diabetes? A change in approach to management

This sponsored satellite has been organised and funded by MSD

The management of adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) was traditionally delivered in a single specialist setting with a focus on glycaemic control. There has now been a paradigm shift in the way T2DM should be managed as the treatment landscape evolves to consider the need to prevent cardiovascular disease (CVD) and /or microvascular complications. In this session we will explore how a multi-disciplinary approach is required to manage this complex multi-system condition in primary care settings.
