Satellite symposium 3 – A practical approach to anticoagulation treatment in non-valvular atrial fibrillation: What are the benefits?

This sponsored satellite has been supported by Pfizer Limited on behalf of the BMS-Pfizer Alliance

This sponsored satellite symposium has been organised and funded by the Bristol-Myers Squibb/Pfizer Alliance, and contains promotional content.

Ketan Kavia will provide the unique perspective of a practice-based pharmacist on the practical management of anticoagulation control in non-valvular atrial fibrillation. He will demonstrate simple pathways that can be implemented in primary care to identify and manage patients who may benefit from a non-vitamin K antagonist oral anticoagulant (NOAC), revealing how a patient-centric, multidisciplinary approach can improve treatment outcomes. A case study will demonstrate the factors to consider for switching appropriate patients to a NOAC and provide practical guidance.
