Dr Keeling is a consultant haematologist at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and an honorary senior clinical lecturer in haematology at the University of Oxford. He is based in the Oxford Haemophilia and Thrombosis Centre (OHTC) and is entirely sub-specialised in the field of haemostasis and thrombosis. The OHTC is one of the largest comprehensive care centres for haemophilia in the United Kingdom and also located in the centre are the Oxford deep vein thrombosis (DVT) service and the Oxford anticoagulation service. Dr Keeling’s main national contributions have been as previous vice-chair of the United Kingdom Haemophilia Centre Doctors’ Organisation (UKHCDO), chair of the British Society for Haematology (BSH) Haemostasis and Thrombosis Task Force, and chair of the BSH Guidelines Committee. He has co-authored several national guidelines in the area of haemostasis and thrombosis and was on the NICE clinical guideline development group for venous thromboembolic diseases (CG144).
