Lesley initially trained in Glasgow and completed her GP training in the Lake District and Birmingham. She currently works in Solihull, having spent some time working in inner city Dundee. She teaches physical examination techniques and differential diagnosis on the MSc in Advanced Practice at Birmingham City University.
Lesley is chair of PoTS UK, the national charity for people with postural tachycardia syndrome. Through her involvement with this and related charities, she developed an interest in syncope in primary care, and completed a diploma in Syncope and Related Disorders in 2016 at the RCPI in Dublin. In addition she has an interest in heritable connective tissue disorders and was on the steering committee for the RCGP Ehlers-Danlos Syndromes Toolkit.
