Dr Terry McCormack

GP and Cardiovascular Lead in North Yorkshire

Terry McCormack is a GP in Whitby and Honorary Reader in Primary Care Medicine at Hull York Medical School. His main role is in developing primary care research, particularly in hypertension, lipids and anticoagulation. He is a Fellow of the British and Irish Hypertension Society and of the European Society of Cardiology. As editor of the British Journal of Cardiology, he encourages primary care inclusion in the world of cardiovascular medicine. Terry is a current member of three NICE Guideline Committees; Hypertension, Peri-operative Care and Venous Thrombo-Embolism.
