The British & Irish Hypertension Society (BIHS) is the leading professional forum for hypertension and cardiovascular disease in the UK and Ireland. Founded in 1981, the Society brings together clinicians, scientists, and healthcare professionals dedicated to reducing the burden of high blood pressure and related conditions through research, education, and policy advocacy.

An Annual Scientific Meeting is held every September in the UK or Ireland which is open to members and non-members alike. Prizes are awarded at the meeting for the best submitted abstracts.
