This programme has been developed independently and in partnership by both Issues & Answers in Primary Care (I&A) and the Primary Care Cardiovascular Society (PCCS) who jointly retain editorial control.
About this programme
Obesity and liver disease severely elevate the likelihood of chronic disease progression and primary care will play a crucial role in the early detection, risk stratification, and long-term management of the conditions, with a major opportunity to prevent progression and improve outcomes.
This programme is aimed at Primary Care HCPs – GPs, pharmacists and nurses who see these patients on a daily basis where there is an unmet need in terms of translating current evidence and the latest guidance into front line clinical practice whilst working with a multi-disciplinary team.
Over the next 6 months the programme, through webinars, podcasts and online modules, will tackle the important aspects of care of these patients and aims to increase awareness and expand knowledge in order to allow healthcare professionals to recognise the importance of identifying the risks of chronic disease progression, gain the confidence to begin early interventions and to offer optimal management of said conditions.
